Mt. Baker Section Meeting – January 2018

Posted: Jan 09, 2018

  • January 17, 2018
    5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Ken Langworthy is a Safety Professional supporting the Oil and Gas Industry in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, where he has worked since 2000. In this hazardous environment, failure to accurately assess and mitigate incident causes almost always result in recurrences. Therefore, great importance is placed on the thorough investigation of these incidents, and investigation teams will often be made up of individuals from different companies.

The cornerstone of a successful investigation is the initial gathering of accurate and complete documentation. Ken will discuss the basic requirements for obtaining pertinent incident images, important items to include when building your own investigation kit, and other factors to consider when responding to an incident. The presentation will feature photographs of the Arctic Alaska oilfield, something you don’t see every day!

Please email me with if you will be attending the meeting. Feel free to share any job openings or other pertinent safety related information/conferences that evening.

 See you then!

 Mt Baker Section Secretary,

Debra Crowe, CSP
