Occupational Safety and Health Professional Day – May 9, 2018

Posted: May 09, 2018

I would like to take a minute of your time to share some exciting news with you. If you don’t know this week is NAOSH Safety Week, it is in partnership with many other safety awareness campaigns this week. In support of the NAOSH Safety Week, the Puget Sound Chapter sent a request to our Governor, Jay Inslee requesting his support for NAOSH Week. We received a proclamation for the Governor declaring May 6-12 Occupational Safety and Health Week and May 9, Occupational Safety and Health Professional Day. It is our expectation that this recognition from our Governor will increase awareness for the safety campaigns this week and heighten awareness to the importance of safe workplaces for all of our workers.
