  • Preparing for an emergency in Seattle, what are our biggest risks

Barb Graff is the Director of the Seattle Office of Emergency Management. Prior to joining the City in 2005, she was the Emergency Preparedness Manager for the City of Bellevue. She chairs the national Emergency Management Accreditation Program Review Committee and serves on the Emergency Management Accreditation Commission. She is the Board of Directors Chair for Big City Emergency Managers. Barb has received a Best of Bellevue public service award in 2000, Career Excellence Award in 2013 from the International Association of Emergency Management, and a Legacy Award for Outstanding Service in 2017 from the Washington Information Network 2-1-1 Program. A native of Puget Sound, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from the University of Washington.
